Spreading Christmas Cheer Online – and Off

Recently Sue from Blogging Sueblimely has announced a Blogging Christmas Challenge and being a big fan of the holiday season, I of course wanted to contribute a small little part!

What is the challenge? To spread Christmas cheer to as many people as possible of course! It doesn’t matter what your religious beliefs are – Christmas is a time to wish for peace on earth and share goodwill and love with mankind. I have had many seasons where my friends and I celebrated all of the winter holidays, even though I am not Jewish or African American. What mattered was that I spent some great time with my friends learning about their holiday celebrations and of course enjoying each others company!

The holidays are also a wonderful opportunity to reach out and help people. Christmas isn’t just about the gifts you give someone underneath a tree – its about giving your time and yourself.

So in response to Sue’s Blogging Christmas Challenge, I decided to share with everyone a few ways they can make a difference to someone this holiday season – both online and off.

Here’s some of the ways we’ll be spreading the holiday cheer on IMBL over the next few days and weeks:

  • Chelle’s Odd Collection of Christmas Songs: By now regular IMBL readers know how much I love music, and so of course comes with that my favorite way of celebrating Christmas – with music of course! And as many of you know “traditional” isn’t always exactly my thing – so I’m in the midst of assembling an odd ensemble of my favorite Christmas songs for you to play and listen to while you’re at work or wrapping presents and of course to pass along and share with others! • Free Christmas Printables: I’m not sure exactly what I’ll be coming up with yet, but I can tell you the Thanksgiving Bingo game I made was a big hit with entertaining kids after dinner, so may go with a few things along those lines as well of course a couple of romance inspired printables for the holidays. • Ways to Spread Holiday Cheer: It’s the time of year to reach out to others – and you’d be surprised how easy it is to make someone’s holiday season seem extra special – without pulling out your checkbook! Read About Helping Others During the Holidays
  • And Anything Else I Come Up With!: Inspiration can come at strange moments, so who knows if I may come up with a few more ideas over the next couple of days! I will be also posting various holiday things on my other blogs I own and operate. If you’d like to make sure you receive updates for when I post these things, Subscribe by Email.

Let’s kick off a great holiday season, and of course don’t forget to check out Sue’s Blogging Christmas Challenge if you have a blog and would like to participate!

Have any other great ideas for me to implement? Leave your thoughts in the comments below!
