I am in the process of starting up a new blog with on how to lose weight for free. It’s coming along nicely but still is a “new blog” with only about 16 posts and free ebook so far. I don’t really need another blog (the few I have rolling now keep me plenty busy!) but I’ve done very well in the past 6 months of dropping from a size 18 to size 11 and I feel like I should share it with people since there are so many fads and scams out there.

Of course, just as I’m not a love professional or marriage counselor or otherwise “expert” in dating and relationships here at It Might Be Love, I’m certainly not a medical professional or nutrition expert. I’m just an ordinary person.

Being just an ordinary person made me think about that word: ordinary. It’s just so…plain? Boring? I don’t know…ordinary?

I thought for a minute about calling myself an ordinary person, and I’m not sure if I really am ordinary. Sure, I’m not superhuman. I haven’t saved the world. I’m not an “expert”. But am I really all that ordinary? Doesn’t being ordinary mean being just like everybody else? Not being different? I could be wrong about this, but I’m pretty sure there’s nobody else there in the world that’s just like me and doing all the things I do. And that is extraordinary to be different, to do something good, to do more that others doing nothing.

I’m sure if I’m an ordinary person being extraordinary, chances are you reading this now are, too. There’s so many little ways you can make a small difference in the world to set yourself apart from the herd of sheep everywhere. For me, my outlet is and always will be writing. Whether it’s a blog post, an associated content article, or even something I write to someone over at mylot, it’s my way of sharing whatever humble gifts I have with someone else.

What makes you extraordinary? Are you doing something good in the world? Making a difference to somebody somewhere? (Anybody!) Share it in the comments below :)
