Make a Romantic Gift Basket

romantic gift basketEverybody is always looking for romantic gift ideas, and one of my favorite romantic gift ideas is a romantic gift basket. I personally love gift baskets as gift ideas because they are easy to create, can be very personalized, and the same basic concept can be used occasion after occasion for any person anytime. For example, if you know someone who likes beer, something like these beer gift baskets could possibly work wonderful.

If you’d rather make your own romantic gift basket (after all, this is much more personal!) it is very easy to make your own romantic gift basket. The actual process of creating a gift basket is pretty simple: take a basket or container, put things in it, wrap it or attach a card. The tricky part of course is deciding what should be in that gift basket and just exactly what you can include to make it a romantic gift basket. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered – below are some ideas you can use to create your own romantic gift basket.

Dinner for Two Romantic Gift Basket: Getting the supplies for this romantic gift basket is as easy as going to your grocery store. Choose a favorite food that you like to cook together and gather anything (non perishable) that would be needed for a romantic dinner for two. For example, let’s say you wanted to go with a spaghetti theme. You would need a checkered table cloth (don’t ask my why, could be because one of my favorite movies is Lady and the Tramp), some candles (they make ones now that are battery operated, how crazy/cool is that?) and of course spaghetti noodles, sauce, Parmesan cheese, a loaf of fresh baked bread and a bottle of sparkling cider or wine of your choice.

Romantic Spa Gift Basket: A little pampering can go a long way in this romantic gift basket. Include candles, lotions, soaps, massage oils, heating pads, bubble bath etc. You can see some examples of a spa gift basket here.

Romantic Movie Gift Basket: Some popcorn, a few new DVD’s, theater sized candy, and maybe even a blanket to snuggle under can make this a romantic date night gift basket idea.

Stuck on You Romantic Gift Basket: This one’s a little cheesy, but still fun. Basically you give the person a gift basket of anything sticky – glue, tape, peanut butter, romantic band-aids, post-it notes, etc.

We’re a Pair Romantic Gift Basket: With this romantic gift basket, you want to include things that go together – peanut butter and jelly, a pair of socks, a pair of dice, and anything else that might fall into the category of “pairs”. (Again, kind of cheesy, but still cute)

Chocolate Crazy Romantic Gift Basket: This is a great gift basket to make yourself for someone. You can buy gourmet chocolates, favorite candy bars, chocolate sauce, chocolate milk mix, hot chocolate powder, and anything else you can find that’s related to chocolate.

Snuggle Up Romantic Gift Basket: Snuggling is one of my favorite things to do. With this gift basket you’ll want a nice soft blanket (you might even want to pre-wash it so you can use it right away!), a cuddly teddy bear or other stuffed animal, soothing music CD you made, a “do not disturb” sign for the door, new pajamas or slippers, a movie to watch, etc.

About Us Romantic Gift Basket: A gift basket all about the two of you can be very romantic. Include a few trinkets from when you first met, a few of your favorite things, tickets/gift card to your favorite date place, and of course don’t forget your Love Story

You Light Up My Life Romantic Gift Basket: Want to tell the one you love they light up your life? Include some light bulbs (can be plain or special colors), a feather, some sunglasses, a nightlight, small desk lamp, or book light, candles, “light” version of their favorite treat, and anything else you can think of that might go with this theme.
