Recently I was introduced to an HBO tv show and a New Zealand parady band called “Flight of the Conchords”.

The show is highly entertaining and actually provides a lot of insight of things on friendship, love, realtionships and more. I’m only up to episode 4 of season one and I’m already hooked. The show is about two guys, Brett and Jermaine, who live together and are in a band together. Their band is doing awful according to the show, as they make no money, only have one creepy fan, and never seem to have any good gigs. A running theme seems to be balancing friends and relationships, as Brett started dating a girl from work and Jermaine tags along on every single date together. They also write some pretty good songs.

This one is a song Brett wrote for one of his girlfriends. Originally Brett was going to write stuff like “I would climb the highest mountain for you”, but after Jermaine pointed out he would NOT do all the things he listed, he came up with this song instead: (Warning, lyrics may not be safe for work!)

Have you seen this show? Heard of Flight of the Conchords? What’s your opinion on them? I think it’s kind of funny.
