Recently on one of my favorite discussion boards MyLot, one of the members there posed the question: How do I keep my hair from falling out and get it to grow back? Many of the responses were about hair transplants, products like Rogaine, drinking milk, and other solutions. I was surprised I was the first to respond with my answer: Embrace Being Bald - Shave it all off!
I never thought I would ever date or marry a guy without any hair, but that’s exactly what I’ve done. My husband does have some hair, but he always shaves it before it starts growing in to reveal the places he doesn’t have any. I love how it looks on him and I am so thankful that instead of looking like a guy losing his hair he looks clean shaven and (in my opinion) pretty darn handsome.
Our 9 month old daughter also has no hair. She has been bald since the day she was born and we don’t know if she’ll get any in the next few months. But for now I’m enjoying that soft peach fuzzy head of hers. People are constantly commenting on her having no hair. I think it’s adorable.
What about you? Are you or someone you love bald? Do you think bald is beautiful? Would you give my friend on MyLot the same advice as me?
