12 Ways to Rekindle Your Relationship

It usually happens after awhile of dating or being married that some of that spark disappers. Fortunately if you catch it fading before it goes out, you have a good chance of re-igniting it easily. Here are a few ideas on ways to rekindle the romance and intimacy in your relationship.

1. Snuggle together in bed before you fall asleep at night.

2. Touch each other’s hands or hold them while you are together somewhere.

3. Give each other backrubs.

4. Kiss at least once a day, even if only on the cheek.

5. Don’t forget to hug each other, too.

6. Listen to each other for at least 20 minutes each day with your undivided attention. Take away the distractions like tv, phones, kids, computers, etc.

7. Go away for a romantic get-a-way. Just one night in a hotel 2 hours away might be all you need.

8. Be spontaneous and surprise him/her with a favorite treat or flowers or do a favor for them.

9. Take up a hobby together. When you’re both interested in something together, you start finding each other interesting again.

10. Remember the good times. Make a scrapbook, pull out old pictures, or play a song that has special meaning to you.

11. Don’t hold grudges about things like chores, errands, or disagreements.

12. Everyday say I love you, thank you, or I’m glad you’re here.
