Upgraded to 2.5, Now with Comment Luv

I was terrified to upgrade to the new Wordpress. I thought for sure it would be a nightmare. Afterall, I did completely delete my site by accident once before!
But I used the wp automatic upgrade plug-in and man it worked beautifully. I think it took me longer to install the plugin than it did to do the upgrade itself.
I was reading so many install/upgrade nightmare problems that I think I should be so thankful that my web server is user-friendly. I’ve been with 1and1.com and couldn’t be happier. Many people don’t like 1and1 for whatever reason, but I think they’re a great value for what they are and until I start getting traffic akin to google I’ll probably stay with them for a long time. If you sign up now they have 3 months free hosting, so it’s a good time to check them out.
I’m also happy to announce we now have “Comment Luv” installed, which means we’ll show the last post of your blog if you have one and leave the URL. What’s a site about love without Comment Luv, right? We also added the ability to subscribe to comments so you can keep up if I reply to you.

I did the upgrade last week, via the old fashioned method (no plugin), and all went well *whew*! The new interface takes a bit of getting used to, and I’m still not sure that I like having virtually everything below the posting area, but overall, it’s cool! Congrats on the upgrade

I was rescued from that state by another blogger. He made and post and recommended the automatic upgrade plug-in. That got the job done, and nicely too.

Hi there Chelle, I’ve been bitten and it feel exhilarating and awesome! Wish I have started blogging sooner. And the more I look into plugins the more I get surprised of what is out there - and so for free as you can get!
Some clean template you have here. I am looking to incorporate adsense into my blog but I love the idea of adding the adsense sharing plugin to blogs all over all of my 100plus domains.
Know where I could find time to do it all?

It’s hard to balance and juggle it all…I tend to do things manually just because honestly it’s a heck of a lot easier than messing around with plug ins that don’t always do what you want them to do…though many are lifesavers
